The Color of Kansas

LINCOLN - The Color of Kansas, featuring work by Jim Hamil of Overland park will open at the Lincoln Art Center with a reception and gallery walk on Friday September 15, 2006, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Hamil is an award winning artist who exhibits his work in galleries and in juried shows through out the Midwest. His work is in numerous private and corporate collections.
Over ten years of successful day-long seminars in schools through out the Midwest have given Jim Hamil a unique approach to teaching art. Hamil will be at the Lincoln Art Center on Thursday evening, September 14 at 7:00. He will demonstrate his approach to painting in watercolor. His presentation will take a painting from initial sketch to the framed finished artwork.
Hamil will spend Friday working with Lincoln elementary and high school students. This exhibit will run through October 27, 2006.

Also on exhibit in September and October is Raku artist Joyce Furney from Manhattan.
