Open Studio (Sept/Oct Photography Class) Tuesdays

Every Tuesday evening in September, the Art Center is hosting a digital photography class from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Open Studio (September Portrait Study)Tuesdays

Beginning in April 2011, the art center is going to start up Open Studio again. The group will meet on Tuesday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The group will pick a particular focus each month, beginning with some instruction and continuing to work on the project selected for the month. Suggestions on classes so far have included: calligraphy, hand built ceramics, handmade cards, pastels, live modeling, oil, watercolor, & photography. Check back closer to April to see what project we will start with first.

The open studio is a free service to members. This is an laid-back gathering where participants can work on the project of the month or work on a project of their own choosing. There is opportunity to work with other artists, discuss ideas, and critique each other's work.

Call Joyce at 785-524-3241 for more information.

Card Making Classes last Tuesday evening of each month

The last Tuesday evening of each month the art center offers a card making class from 6-8 pm for a fee of $5. Seasonal cards, gift tags, and small table ornaments or place cards have been part of the program in the past. The instructor provides the materials, tools and embellishments needed to complete the project.

Call the art center at 785-524-3241 to reserve a spot in the class.
