According to Legend

“According to Legend,” artworks by Harley Elliott, Salina, Carol Long, St. John and David Olson, Lindsborg, opened with a reception and gallery walk Friday, November 6 from 5-7 p.m. This exhibit will run November 6 through December 31.

Harley Elliott is a visual artist and writer in Salina, Kansas. He has been Education Coordinator at the Salina Art Center and, before that, Art Instructor at Marymount College of Kansas. His visual work in mixed media almost always begins with a process, and process suggests the concept. Elliott’s work has been exhibited in galleries throughout the Midwest.

Carol Long has been a full time studio potter for 25 years. Long’s award-winning work has been exhibited in galleries throughout Kansas, including Wichita, Lindsborg, Garden City and Salina. She works with full electric fire in mid-range, her work is both functional and decorative.

David Olson’s present artwork uses paper as the vehicle for discovery. Paper provides a basis to visualize movement that comes from life activities. Olson is presently Assistant Director of Admissions at Bethany College in Lindsborg and has taught full time at Newman University and Bethany College.
